The FPL's entire position is plagued by a kind of normalcy bias.
All of the decisions they're making are based on the notion that that the only way the Empire can attack is via Iserlohn Fortress and since they've been able to repel each attack including the latest big one, then everything will be fine. Yet they don't consider that if that were the case, then Lohengram would know the exact same thing and act accordingly. So obviously, something's changed and yet, nobody in political power seems interested in even considering that.
Of course, the answer is staring them right in the face.
How did the "Emperor" get to the FPL?
Via Fezzan
How is the Empire going to mount some sort of attack when Iserlohn Fortress is an obstacle they have yet to able to overcome?
Via Fezzan
I've never seen the original of this but even though I like Yang I'm honestly looking forward to the Empire wiping the smugness off the faces of the FPL politician's faces.

Yeah but it's too early for now, we should wait for operation Ragnarok first

Yang, Wen-li would make a good leader and he is not the type be a dictator on the account he don't want to be a leader in the first place.

Enough power can change a man.

Rafay Haleem • 1 year ago

And Yang knows that the power will change him.
so thats why he does not wish to claim that power.

And that is his best grace and ultimate failing in the end.

A cornered weak man is more dangerous than a strong man they said. Now what if you corner a strong man?

Though I doubt Yang will do it. All I can look forward to is when Yang finally died and this maderpakers is at gun point. Laugh all you want have power all you want, when all are destroyed by Mr. Goldie Pants even the whole universe will turn red.

It's nice to see Yang get emotional once for awhile.
Seeing him been so formal in season 1 and 2 doesn't suit him as a character.

A corrupt democracy vs a pristine autocracy! Which one would you rather rule over you?

Neko-senpai • 1 year ago

"Yang wen li, won't become like rudolph the dictator". Well yeah, he won't live long enough to run for chairman anyway

Herjotur Sweetongue • 1 year ago

that raven chick got the IQ alright!
It is chilling and scary how accurate the portrayal of society and the politics are.

NetroLancer • 1 year ago

Yang getting a little emotional and almost considering on being a dictator, so he won't have to follow the FPA's dumb orders.

I remember watching a live news broadcast of that happening.

Marvin Heemeyer is an icon of the average citizen trying to get by in life. RIP Marvin.

I really love seeing the reactions of the public about the kid. They’re divided and all parties bring up good points.

There's no reason for them to be concerned about Yang becoming a dictator; that's the last thing he'll do. I'm delighted that one politician saw Yang for who he is and realized right away that he has no desire to become a dictator.

This episode was amazing. The best so far in my opinion because out of no where at 4:58 I just dropped tears man. Like the anime has touched on some core themes of democracy that parallels observations and our reality, hitting gentle but deep.

Ian3039 • 1 year ago

He's just 7 y.o kid, and the "adult" use him as a scapegoat to satisfy their greed?? Just how rotten you are???

Luigi_Joestar • 1 year ago

Does anyone know when and if they continue the series after this season ends? Basically if they be more consistent with releases moving forward. I belive we had to wait a lot after season 1, which made me sort of drop it. But when this started airing I caught up. Now that we are reaching the final episodes, I just want to know if any of you are informed about this. Peace!

Noddy • 1 year ago

Watch the original first for lore and dialogue and then new one for visuals only

Luigi_Joestar • 1 year ago

Yeah thats what most people say. I'm a 90s kid so I can handle 90s animation like yu yu Hakusho. But I watched an episode of the original a long while back and I couldn't get into it because of the art style and animation. Dumb but yeah, I'll give it a try.

DICTATOR YANG LESSS GOO

THE POOR KING I FEEL SORRY FOR HIM. HOPE HE RETURNS HOME SOON

Neko-senpai • 1 year ago

sad to say, he will never get back home, his remains will be found on an abandoned apartment, his guard can't stand the spoiled brat anymore so he bash him in the head, he felt so guilty that he still carries his remain until he is found by empire soldiers

Ethan_Ninja • 1 year ago

& I thought being the President or Emperor or Prime Minister is the best thing to be. But Im guessing being assigned into that position its not like a Fairy Tale story.
Its true that the citizens voted you to govern the nation, & also the citizen too can bring you down
Somehow, FPA would experience another coup real soon!
Yang Wen-Li, we know youre very reluctant to be a dictator but its your own country man, you gotta do something than seeing your nation got screwed up🔥🔥
